Site Leader, Assembly Distribution Operations

Position Purpose Responsible for leading site operations team at one of Sleep Number's Assembly Distribution Centers (ADCs) including bed assembly manufacturing and returns operations.
Operates within matrix organization in execution of overall business objectives.
Scope includes manufacturing, order fulfillment/warehousing, maintenance, inventory, continuous improvements and training operations.
Primary ResponsibilitiesManage ADC Operations team to meet or exceed all ADC business objectives and requirementsEnsuring all product standards and schedules meet or exceed customers' expectations while optimizing manufacturing costs through effective utilization of manpower, equipment, facilities, materials, and capitalDevelops, improves and maintains a world class 5S ProgramDrive company initiatives to improve the customer experience, productivity and efficienciesLead and execute Labor Planning and manage workflow and monitor hourly employees, including overtime reduction effortsLead development of LEAN initiatives to drive waste of our all manufacturing operations to continuously improve performance as measured by Key Performance Indicators in all departments and processesReport on ADC operations and performance as required (hourly, daily, weekly, monthly by area and by shift)Execute plant security procedures to protect Select Comfort people, capital, and inventory assetsRepresent Select Comfort in the local business communitiesEstablish annual environmental sustainability objectives and execute action plan to achieve those objectivesPeople:

The ADC operations requires its team members to demonstrate excellent teamwork, collaboration and the ability to work cross-functionally as business needs dictatePosition Requirements Five or more years of experience in a senior operations management role, preferably leading manufacturing or logistics in an Oracle environment and/or site management experienceBA/BS degree in business or engineering required (Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Systems Engineering, Operations, Supply Chain Management or Business preferred)Launch experience preferredDemonstrated knowledge and understanding of Manufacturing, Fulfillment Operations and Supply Chain principles and practices (preferred)Lean Manufacturing knowledge and/or experience (preferred)Experience in one or more of the following adjacent disciplines:
Manufacturing, Fulfillment Operations, Materials Planning, Logistics/TransportationPreferred MBA and/or MS in EngineeringPreferred willing to relocate for advancement opportunitiesWorld Class Manufacturing Techniques; LEAN expertise desiredData Gathering and Analysis - Use company technologies to improve operations.

Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
